Northgate Station puts you on the Link light rail with a straight shot to the University of Washington in about 10 minutes and Downtown Seattle in roughly 20 - no car required. This is our first guide in a new series covering every stop on Seattle's light rail line, starting here at one of its newest and fastest-changing stations.
The old Northgate Mall has been reborn as NoMa, a mixed-use district with shops, restaurants, a public plaza, and the Kraken's practice facility. A pedestrian and bike bridge connects the station straight to North Seattle College, and Metro buses fan out from the adjacent transit center.
